First Flying Dream

Name: Jordan McGinnis
Where are you from?: Los Angeles
Was this your first lucid Dream?: Yes
How many lucid dreams have you had?: 3

Subject: First Flight

The dream started in my backyard,  I had never had a lucid dream before this one. I just remember all of a sudden saying to myself in the dream “I am dreaming” then I knew. All of a sudden I was present. The first thing I did was jump. My first jump I probably reached 10 feet off the ground then returned at normal gravity speed. This was frightening at first because I thought the landing would hurt but it didn’t. It was as if my muscles were stronger and could take the load. I jumped again and again each time getting a little higher until I was able to jump back and forth over my house. Smile ear to ear, it was the greatest feeling ever.. until I realized I didn’t ever have to come down.

I jumped higher than I ever had at least 100 ft in the air then I focused on going higher.. first I just levitated a little like I was slowly falling back down to earth instead of quickly. In my dream I practiced and then finally I jumped and just kept going higher and higher, then I leveled out my body and I was flying.. Slowly, but it was happening except that I was flying and getting lower quite slowly. But I kept practicing.

Then it happened I accepted I had complete control.. I kneeled down and exploded off the ground into flight. I was as high as the clouds soaring as fast as an airplane over my hometown, taking in all the scenery and places I usually hang out. I had complete control. I could change direction, swoop down and fly with my hand touching the lake etc. It was the most incredible experience I’ve ever had and it was a DREAM.. But it was as real as reality.

Then I was at school with friends and I told them I could fly, they didn’t believe me until I started levitating in front of them. They were beside themselves, nearly fainting and couldn’t believe me. I then asked my best friend if he wanted to come, he said sure. I picked him up like he was a feather and we blasted off. I was flying incredibly fast now, faster than any rocket or plane, Superman style, I was flying what must have been 5,000 miles an hour or faster just completely soaring at impossible speed. Eventually I was soaring out of the atmosphere, past the mood and clusters of stars. It was so beautiful I began to weep and my friend was in disbelief, there sharing the moment with me.

It was at some point in space that I woke up and I tried so hard to go back to sleep and couldn’t. I was frustrated and so happy at the same time. To this day it was the best dream I’ve ever had and I will never forget it. I had never heard of lucid dreaming before that night and I googled it shortly after to learn about it but have never put in the time to perfect it. I look back on the dream not as a dream but as an incredible memory because of how insanely vivd and “real” it all was. Truly an amazing experience I’ll never forget.

Hey, I’m hoping to get in touch with an admin or someone who writes/edits the guides. I’m not looking for any personal tips or advice, I’m just hoping to converse and discuss experiences, information and tips that have helped me in so many ways. I am have been a avid lucid dreamer since a incredibly young age and have since mastered a variety of skills and techniques that might prove useful.
