Flying – First Lucid Dream

How many lucid dreams have you had?: just one

So this was my first time trying lucid dreaming. I don’t know if I did it correctly or not.

At first everything was spinning and everything went by so fast, like I would switch my scenery. I was trying so hard not to think of anything scary. But I was flying around a city like a super hero and I was noticing that I was dreaming and I felt like I was about to wake up so I flew in a circle multiple times. Then I was dreaming I was talking to tyga? And it switched to me swimming in the sea and I was a mermaid. I was starting to wake up and I could hear the music playing off my laptop and I saw a scary face and I instantly woke up.

Lucid Dreaming Stories – Hey Jazlyn, congratulations on your first lucid dream. There is no right or wrong way to experience it. As you do it more you will get used to the dream world and be able to control it much better. This is a great example of the problem many beginners experience their first time. Just keep at it and the more lucid dreams you have the better they will become and the more control you will gain.

“At Thirty” – Lucid Nightmare

How many lucid dreams have you had?: Lots

This dream scared the hell out of me. I was in a car with my mother and sister. It was in the middle of the night. We were going around a bend in the street. I see a dead deer in the middle of the road I don’t know why but I begged my mom to stop so I get out of the car. I look at the deer like it’s a painting in a museum. I look away from it to look at my sister. When I look at the deer again it’s standing on two legs it says “at thirty” then nods and runs into the woods.

A big blue bus goes between the woods and me. Once the bus passes I run into the woods and I see the deer only this time it’s eating another deer. I gasp and it looks back and sees me. It has yellow eyes that’s the last thing I see before I wake myself up. I have lots of lucid dreams but I can never wake up exactly when I want to. But in all my dreams some thing or some one says at thirty. What does this mean I am scared to sleep. I lucid dream without even trying.

Dreaming about having a Lucid Dream

Three days ago I discovered lucid dreaming and since I had never had one before I am trying to. I have kept a dream journal and do 20+ reality checks throughout the day. I also read about lucid dreaming for about 30 minutes before bed. Last night I had a dream and in it, my friend said to me “hold on for a few more seconds you are almost lucid dreaming, hold on.” Even after hearing this I did not start a lucid dream. Anyone else have this problem. Im not dissapointed because I am dedicated to become a lucid dreamer and am very patient but is this a sign that I am close to lucid dreaming?

Lucid Dreaming StoriesHey Connor, thanks for sharing your story. This is definitely a great story and just goes to show that anyone can experience lucid dreaming if they keep practicing. This is a very great sign and your first step to having a fully lucid dream. It takes practice for our subconscious to be able to accept that everything you are experiencing is not real but only a dream. You will have many of these ‘false’ lucid dreams on your journey to becoming an experienced lucid dreamer.

I have had 100’s of lucid dreams and sometimes (very rarely anymore) I still experience something similar. Your next step will be to question your reality after you begin to think that you are in a dream. Your subconscious will try to tell you otherwise and this is the hurdle that all lucid dreamers must overcome.

The fact that you have only been practicing for 3 days and have already got this far is really unheard of. It takes a lot of people weeks (sometimes months) before they get as far as you have gotten.

As I can see in your story you are dedicated and that is great. Keep up the good work and can’t wait for you to share with us when you experience your first one as I know you will.

After trying the exercises recommended by the OOBE manual I had downloaded, for many afternoons I finally did it. I had cycled through the exercises and as usual nodded off. But I remember half waking and feeling very very comfortable.. like what I was laying on was just the softest thing ever. Then I’m in what appears to be a light brown mist and it’s laborious to get through and I become frustrated.

Then I’m in a car and the inside of the panels are dark. I look out the side window and I see countryside going by but it’s a grainy super8 movie? I look to the front and it’s the same.. that’s where I realized I had chose to look out front and was therefore in control of my actions? I decide to be in my kitchen.. and instantly I am? I looked at the ceiling fan but it was now just a pendant bulb? I pointed towards it and I feel I am floating up to it.

As I approach it it lights dimly and gains brightness as I get nearer. I then remember.. you should look in a mirror, that’s supposed to be a good thing to do. So I think of my bathroom and instantly I’m in the doorway of it. I peer warily around the door frame to look in my mirror and I see a stocky man in a pastel blue shirt.. but only from the neck down. I notice my mirror is the one I had before the one I have now?

Then in deep tones I hear.. You were supposed to die at 18!!  I responded.. But I’m 47? and the reply back to me was.. Yes, you Can change your destiny!

I looked down and noticed a piece of unnecessary wood on a hinge on the door frame? I looked back at the mirror and there was a skull with flames across the forehead and coming out the right temple (right, if it was a reflection of My skull) after this I kind of lost intention to go anywhere else or be there, and woke up.

I was so elated. I’d done it. It’s without doubt the most amazing experience of my life. I continue occasionally to do it again.

Hanging With The Presidents

I have been studying on lucid dreaming for about 3 months. It all started from a reoccuring bad dream I was having. I kept having a dream that my teeth would fall out and it was really starting to get to me. Thinking it meant something I then started to look into dreams (what they mean and if they have any connection with waking life at all).

Anyway to the dream.. I believe I was just hitting REM sleep (I believe) and I again started dreaming that my teeth were falling out. I then found myself saying “I’m in a dream.” I had been doing (reality checks) during the day and found myself doing them mid-dream and realized things were a little off. Anyway, As I started to get control of the dream it was as if I could change the background( this is the best explanation I can think of) and I remember thinking I can do ANYTHING I want, see anything I want. I then started imaging that I knew the president and soon I was not imagining anymore, it was real. I was in the back of a limo with the president and his family. I called all my friends and family and told them who I was with. To sum everything up I ended up with my own private helicopter, Huge house, pool, and many many more things.
