Physics – Aliens and Time Travel Dream

I was at a beach resort, in some random apartments that looked like apartments that I had lived in as a child. Immediately, I know I am dreaming but I want to go along with the dream story line so I let the dream take its course. Aliens were revealed to the world and the population was split. Half of the world welcomed the aliens and the other half figured armageddon. There were groups along the beach that were letting off red balloons in a symbol of welcome to the red lights that blinked across the atmosphere (aliens) but the people who let off the balloons were actually involved in a mass suicide pact and all died.

I was trying to get ready for a party that my friend D was throwing at his mansion (which was sometimes my mansion in other dreams with my time traveling elevator and library) and I couldn’t decide between earrings and other jewelry. I had a pair of red ruby studs, gold leafs that dangled, gold branches, gold claws, arrows, geode studs, and random diamonds. My necklaces were not as varied as my earrings and in the end I chose some stupid hipster outfit and a pair of nikes. As I was getting ready though, I had about a million different notions to buy a bus ticket going anywhere but where I was. But for some reason involving one of my sisters and my mom, I had insufficient funds.

On the beach, I saw my childhood friend T! Where we sort of ended up having a purely physical affair. It was fun, we made a lot of jokes and fucked around a lot. In the meantime, I also met this girl who looked like Shelly from Hemlock Grove playing in a garden, but she was an alien. We were kinda friends. Anyway, I’m trying to get ready for this party and I’m with another one of my sisters on the couch and there was an alien on the balcony. They looked just like us, but it was a disguise. It was a man, and my sister screamed but I was paralyzed. She runs and I end up talking to the alien who was kind and very wise. I pestered him about the Doctor, but his answers were vague. Then he gave me a name of his people and wrote it out on paper for me, the symbols were interesting at the time, but I can only remember one, which meant a child of the stars and it was a square with a star in the center.

At the time, D was just like, FUCK IT, and brought the party to my apartment. So everyone was partying and it made me slightly nervous because I didn’t want anyone to start a conflict with the aliens. So the aliens leave, the party dies down, and Dallas asks me to come over. I end up trying to drive a car with the Shelley/Alien and it doesn’t work out so I call my mom and she says she’ll take me, and D is trying to pick me up because I thought I needed a ride so it was a shit show getting there. And eventually we get to my mother’s boyfriend’s house which is literally 2 doors down from D’s mansion.

So I hop over there and everyone is partying in the pool and it’s kind of a nice hoity toity pool party. D looks like half D and half Roger from American Dad, with a really pretty yellow sun bonnet/hat and a tall glass of something in his hands while he’s sitting in a pool floaty.

I’m trying to get him to come upstairs with me to my time traveling elevator and to the library but he’s being a butt. I meet and speak with a very old Asian woman who is extremely funny and awesome, so I tell her about my secret elevator and try to take her with me to see it. But as we go up the stairs and into the hallway, my elevator isn’t there, it’s just plaster. I am understandably upset.

The old woman leaves.

D comes to me very angry that I tried to show the old woman my elevator. We begin arguing and I don’t remember the exact things that were said. But before I wake up, he tells me that he’s met me three times before in my past lives and each time I’ve made the same mistake.

I lucid dream often, but I don’t understand why or what any of it means. This is probably just my imagination and filtering of thoughts/memories through my unconscious… But is something else happening? Sometimes, I dream I am in a spirit world with ugly creatures and malevolent forces that I somehow always make myself confront, through epic fights (sometimes on mountain tops and other strange dramatic locations), or by simply flying away as I know how to do while dreaming.

I feel very alone with these dreams as no one else I speak to about them understands lucid dreaming at all. Is it all scientific and simple? Or should I be afraid?

This is one of the more peculiar dreams of mine; I have never had a dream above limited lucidity. When I want something to happen, it doesn’t, but if something clicks at the back of my mind, my imagination swirls and it happens. I don’t know why I get lucid dreams as I am not very self conscious most the time. I did not intend to get the dreams. I just get them without trying, so I guess I’m pretty lucky.

The dream started out semi-lucid right off the bat. It was the middle of the day, and I was in my school, fifth period social studies. I realized something peculiar was happening. (I didn’t intend to have a lucid dream)For instance, the room was a lot more colorless, odorless, and featureless. The fish tank was missing, as well as all the posters on the wall and projects. That was when I realized I was in a dream, and suddenly I was back at my house at night. I must’ve been reading too much of those WWII books recently, because there were uniformed men at our door.

Suddenly, my senses improved and I heard a voice, “Report immediately or we will be force to comply with orders.” By now, I was fully aware of my sleepiness, cool air, and fabrics of my sheets. This was my first lucid dream in which a real threat has been displayed, so instead of doing what I would do in an unconscious dream, like just stumbling along into captivity, I did what I would do in real life. I made a run for it, smashing through the living room window and sprinting across the streets, which was heaving and cracking and the clouds were red. But like I said, even in a lucid dream, my mind won’t allow things that don’t make sense in real life, or at least things in my control.

I stopped to catch my breath and fell onto the garden floor next to our local library. The garden was less realistic, without any bugs, or imperfections in the plants design. The soil felt moist and I actually fell into another sleep. This one was of waking up into my room, muttering something and feeling relived that it was over. But of course I was wrong. I lie down in my bed, falling asleep again. (In case you haven’t noticed, I fall through many layers during my dreams, since in real life I’m always tired.)

Now I was in a meadow. I don’t remember what happened here, but it was the place where I realized I had fallen too far. A huge screeching sound happened and I woke up in my ‘room’ again. There was a slimy red slug on my forehead, and soon it formed many others which began sliding down my neck. I must’ve lost some consciousness, since I started walking around. I remember stumbling outside, and hearing another screeching sound that brought me back to reality. I willed myself to wake up, and it worked like it usually does. Now I was back in the mound of soil. From here, I lost a lot of consciousness, being shipped into a dome, seeing some nasty human dissections, and being lead down to a building.

Then I fell into blackness for a period of time I don’t remember until hearing a strum, but at that point I didn’t know it was my own alarm, just something in my dream. In the room I was a again, the sound of my alarm fading away, when I became fully lucid and aware of the red emergency button that I was imagining from a alien invasion movie at the back of my head. I leaned over and pressed it, like the main character Chris had done, and the room spun into chaos with people running all over the place. I think I saw some familiar faces, but then I woke up. That’s when I understood the screeching sounds of my door, the alarm, and the wet beads of sweat that had trickled down my neck…I hate it when things in real life affect the dream world. Two things that would make the dreams better:

1: Nothing from real life interfering with deeper layers of dreaming
2: Being able to control things…complete lucidity

I had returned home from picking up a friend at the Palm Springs Airport and decided I would take a nap in the hopes for Sleep Paralysis (as I tend to get it often and want to astral project). But what happened was something I couldn’t have anticipated.

I woke up in my room, but there was someone next to me. I felt around, then looked to see who it was. It was my friend Alma, who I had just dropped off at home after picking up from the airport. I asked her, how did you get here, she didn’t know. I asked if my family had noticed her come in, she didn’t know. In fact, she had no answers for me, other than “I don’t know, I just woke up,” so I decided to look at the clock to check if this was a dream or not…and my digital clock had no answer to what time it was, I was lucid!!

I went out to the living room and saw my family sitting watching TV. I left the house, but was instantly driving my truck. Alma and a girl friend of hers were both riding in the back. Then her friend, who I will refer to as punker girl, grabbed and tickled me. As we were driving on a curving cliff road, the tickle started us over the side. As we were falling, I thought in my head that this is only a dream, and when we land, I will be safe…the fall was just as vivid as a real one.

Once landed, I turned and told the girls to hold hands in the form of a circle and we would use our intent to get back up to the road. But no dice.

Then as if in a instant, we were driving again. This time I was in the passenger seat, the girls in the back still, and a man who I did not know or communicate with was driving. My attention was almost completely captivated by punker girl. We kept talking, and I felt a strong connection to her for a reason I couldn’t identify.

As we were talking on this trip, she told me that we were going to meet soon in the future. I kept asking her questions, so that I could remember her and talk to her when we met. She said she thought I was hot ever since she saw me on the bus. I asked what bus, and she said I looked like the guy from that movie Roadtrip, the guy that made the pot that couldn’t be tested by any drug test. She also said that it’s all heavy black guys nowadays, while looking at a magazine (I still have no idea what that meant). I read her tattoos, but can only remember that they had a lot of red in them.

She was really good at controlling MY dream and said she had a ton of experience with lucid dreaming. Alma chimed in and validated her claim.

I tried my hardest to control any little aspect of the dream, but every attempt left me in no control at all. The girls even made fun of me for trying the moves like on Dragon Ball Z in a futile attempt to move something. Then the ride was over, we were where we were going…

We came up to a doorway that had two big doors, like at a doctors office or something. Once through the door, I tried to move a desk…and it moved! But with a huge delay, so I turned around and saw a women in a lab coat moving it. In my mind, I kept thinking, how can all of my dream characters control MY dream, but I can’t!

I asked her to help me learn how to control my lucid dreams, and she agreed, then told me to follow. The girls did not come with us, they left as I was getting ready to follow the lab coat woman down the hallway. The woman, who I will refer to as Dr. Labcoat, told me that my “speech cognition was really good.” I said thanks, not really knowing what she meant.

Then we reached a room at the end of the hallway with some other lab coat people walking around, a chair in the middle of the room, and some type of machine in the corner of the room.

She sat me down, then put some diodes on my head. I kept clapping and rubbing my hands in order to stay lucid longer, I wanted the procedure to work in a hope that my subconscious would somehow unlock the power of controlling the lucid dream for subsequent lucid dreams.

I sat there for a few seconds, then turned around, and saw a previous college roommate. But he was frozen! I asked what was wrong, and he replied by touching an object and freezing it. I told him I was super hot, so I got up and gave him a hug in order to warm him up. Right after I did so, Dr. Labcoat turned to me and told me “I couldn’t control that,” Meaning that my roommate was not planned or something, at least that’s the feeling that I got from it.

Then everything started to fade to black. NO! I tried everything, but couldn’t stay any longer. I woke up in sleep paralysis, and tried to desperately go back into the dream. Then, as I was coming out of SP, I heard the loudest bell sound off, DING! Just like a front desk hotel bell. Wasn’t my phone, wasn’t any other “thing” I could attribute to this sound. Then I was back in waking reality.

The entire dream was so vivid and real, that it felt like I was somewhere else. Still haven’t come across Punker Girl in real life or in my dreams.

My Short Lucid Dream Stories

Hello, so recently I’ve been trying to lucid dream, and so far I’ve only gotten short ones with no control. So here 3 short dreams I had that were close to being lucid.

Dream 1:

I was in a small grey room, with not much going on, but suddenly I realized I was in a dream. Almost instantly, the scene changed and I got a false awakening, and forgot about the dream.

Dream 2:

I woke up in the middle of the night (still a dream), and remembered I needed to changed the time for my alarm to go off. The numbers on the clock looked exactly how they do in real life, and even were the correct time. I just used the “checking the time” reality check, which obviously does not work for me, and only realized it was a dream much later when I found the alarm hadn’t changed.

Dream 3:

I can’t remember much about what happened, but I tried to put my fingers through my hand, and it worked and I became lucid. I didn’t have much control, and forgot about the dream after a few minutes, and woke up later killing myself for not trying more reality checks.

So yeah, I haven’t gotten any “real” lucid dreams yet, but hopefully soon.

In Search of A Story

How many lucid dreams have you had?: Tons

Last night I had my first lucid dream since a friend suggested that a dream I had told them was probably a lucid dream. Yes I have had others but in others I had no knowledge of the control which I could have over these dreams. I had set a goal set for myself; find a story.

I began to realize I was dreaming shortly after passing through some impossible architecture shifting walls and ceilings which squished anyone who used one of the many escalators, but it didn’t actually hurt anyone. When I got outside of this strange building I decided to prove whether or not I was dreaming.

I did some reality checks, Three of them actually. First I willed myself to float (which I succeeded in doing very easily) this however wasn’t convincing enough because I KNEW I was in a dream so this didn’t prove anything because I can often fly in dreams, (Yeah weird logic I know) I needed more proof to have the confidence to claim total control. Next I examined my hands but it was of no use. I found it quite boring and my hands were dirty and the dirt kept changing. I did a third reality check. I tried to stick my right index finger through the palm of my left hand, trying to truly believe it would happen, to expect it. A half a moment before my finger touched my palm I saw that it had already gone through and that there was a ghostly duplicate imprint of my finger on the other side of my hand. Now I was confident enough that I became more lucid than I had ever been in dreams before.

First thing I did was try to get more detail in my dream, checking my hands as a way of measuring, I couldn’t remember what the wrinkles on the palm of my hands were supposed to look like so I decided to settle with kind of clear. By this time I knew I wanted to look for a story, so I decided to set the mood and test my control over my dream.

I already knew what I wanted. It was already raining. With a cry of “lightning!” I clapped my hands over my head and watched as a very realistic lightning bolt crackled silently through the sky. Frowning internally I did the same sort of thing but with a cry of “thunder!” and a small peal of thunder rang out from above. Dissatisfied I repeated my cry, louder this time. A slightly larger peal rang out, but neither time had it included lightning. With a moment of forethought I cried out “storming thunder and lightning!” and there was rolling thunder and every black cloud had a small contrail of lightning waving around in the wind like some kind of divine windsock party. Not very realistic but I was satisfied enough since that was just for setting the mood. The rain had subsided to a light drizzle while I had built up the rest of the storm so I had to cry out “more rain!” several times before I was satisfied with it. With the drenching rain came also a darkness and a beating wind which I always imagine the greatest storms to have.

The mood was set and it was time to find a story. I looked around. There was a rutted road with double wheel tracks of gravel, the median grown with grass, but I wasn’t interested in this road. On the far side there was a grass gulley which was starting to fill up with water, with a slope leading down into it which I walk down. My vision is starting to cloud at this point because of the overzealous quantities of rain I had called from the clouds, (or maybe I was starting to lose lucidity) and it was drenching the grass to either side, making it too slippery to crawl back up the slope but I didn’t want to anyways.

Farther along in the gully the slope widens and the trees closed in overhead and the darkness is very deep. In front of me there was a fallen tree resting in a pool of water which looked deep, then suddenly out of nowhere an amphibious vehicle came out of the darkness and rammed the log, and before I had time to investigate it the dream dissolved and I woke up.

After waking up though I was filled with a most exhilarating feeling from the experience, because it was the most lucid dream I have had so far, and the first since I looked up what lucid dreaming actually is. I hope I have dreams as fun as this one more often.
